We Are All Made Up | 2018 | This work is a commentary on the pervasiveness of media and its effect on our lives and identities. The eyes making up the pupil and words making up the whites of the eyes act as a camera or the omnipotent and omnipresent media. The skin of the figure is made of cutouts of other people's skin symbolizing how people take on and present false identities, while the blacked-out eyes symbolize how people have stopped seeing for themselves and in turn thinking for themselves, and instead, relying on the eyes of the media above | Mixed media collage on board | Dimension: Variable

Castle on the Hill | 2017 | Batik is a resist dyeing process for making designs on fabric. To make a batik, selected areas of the design are blocked out by applying hot wax over them, a dye is applied on top, and the parts covered in wax resist the dye and remain the original color | Batik | Dimensions: 22" x 27"
